Social Frailty Index: Development and validation of an index of social attributes predictive of mortality in older adults

Este estudio nos presenta el Índice de Fragilidad Social, un modelo conciso que predice el riesgo de mortalidad a 4 años en adultos de 65 años o más, basándose en diez factores sociales. Desarrollado y validado utilizando datos del Estudio de Salud y Jubilación (HRS por sus siglas en inglés), el índice mejora la estratificación del riesgo más allá de los modelos médicos tradicionales de comorbilidad. Los hallazgos sugieren su posible aplicación en entornos clínicos, de salud de la población y de investigación, proporcionando una herramienta valiosa para evaluar el riesgo de mortalidad y discapacidad en adultos mayores.
