En este video, Peter Attia, MD nos ilustra sobre lo que califica como los «cuatro jinetes» de las enfermedades crónicas y principales causas de muerte: 1) Enfermedades cardiovasculares y cerebrovasculares; 2) Cáncer; 3) Demencia; y 4) Trastornos metabólicos. Sobre ello destaca que, si bien algunos factores de riesgo, como la genética, son de muy difícil control, cambios en el estilo de vida como vigilar el colesterol y la presión arterial, evitar el tabaquismo, y mejorar la salud metabólica, pueden reducir considerablemente el riesgo de ocurrencia y aumentar la longevidad.
